Med Center Health adds 7th hospital to its healthcare system

Bowling Green, Ky. (May 29, 2024) – Med Center Health has announced that Logan Memorial Hospital will become part of its hospital network effective July 1, 2024.

The Med Center health system currently includes hospitals in Bowling Green, Albany, Caverna (Horse Cave), Franklin and Scottsville. Combined, the hospitals comprise 454 acute care beds, 110 extended care beds and over 400 on-staff physicians in more than 50 specialties. The system has more than 3,500 employees and 150 employed providers.

Logan Memorial Hospital is a 75-bed acute care hospital located in Russellville, Kentucky, that serves a population of approximately 45,000. Following the acquisition, the hospital will become The Medical Center at Russellville.

Logan Memorial Hospital’s bed complement includes six ICU/CCU beds and 10 swing beds. Other services include a surgery center with three operating rooms, two endoscopy suites, a 24-hour physician staffed chest pain accredited emergency department, and imaging technology including PACS, 3D digital mammography, spiral 16-slice CT, 3D ultrasound, MRI, echo and nuclear medicine.

Logan Memorial Hospital also offers cardiac/pulmonary rehabilitation, laboratory services, an infusion center, outpatient rehabilitation and a two-bed sleep disorder center. The acquisition includes three medical office buildings on the main campus as well as rural health clinics located in Russellville, Auburn and Elkton.
